Lone Leaf

This leaf somehow managed to survive the winter almost entirely intact. Perhaps the weight of the dirt and pebbles on it kept it from getting damaged by the wind. The snow in our area turned most of the leaves to mushy piles, so this little gem was easy to spot.DS
